Cavotec has signed two additional orders with a combined value of EUR 9.35 million with an unnamed leading global container shipping company.
The new orders cover shore power systems for both newly built and existing container vessels.
The first order, valued at EUR 5.55 million, involves retrofitting Cavotec’s shore power systems on a large number of existing container vessels operating between Asia, the US, and Europe. Deliveries will begin this year and continue through the end of 2026.
The second order, worth EUR 3.8 million, adds to an earlier EUR 8.1 million contract announced in May and covers shore power systems for newbuild container ships, with deliveries starting in the second half of 2026.
Cavotec said its shore power technology helps vessels cut emissions while at berth and ensures compliance with international environmental standards.
“These significant orders from one of the world’s leading container shipping companies underline our strong position in the shore power market,” said David Pagels, CEO of Cavotec. “They also demonstrate the customer’s confidence in our technology and our ability to deliver sustainable solutions to the maritime sector.”
