Dubai-based bunker firm FLEX Commodities DMCC has officially launched physical bunker supply operations in Namibia, commencing activities in the ports of Walvis Bay and Lüderitz.
The company said the move represents the first phase of a wider expansion across West Africa, backed by its trading experience and established supply chain capabilities in the region.
Operations are being conducted through a joint venture structure, which FLEX said enables efficient port coordination, regulatory compliance and smooth execution from nomination through to delivery.
The company will initially offer VLSFO and LSMGO, with what it described as transparent, customer-driven commercial terms.
Deliveries will be carried out using the SIRE-approved bunker barge Splendour Opal, which FLEX said is intended to set new operational standards in the regional market.
FLEX said its entry into Namibia is part of a longer-term strategy to establish itself as a leading physical bunker supplier across West Africa.
