Amsterdam-based OCI Global has agreed to sell its Rotterdam-based ammonia business to Agrofert in a deal worth EUR 290 million.

The transaction involves the sale of 100% of the equity in OCI Ammonia Holding, which owns OCI Terminal Europoort, an ammonia import and storage terminal in Rotterdam, and OCI Ammonia Distribution, which supplies ammonia to third-party customers across Europe.

The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, customary closing conditions and shareholder approval at an extraordinary general meeting.

OCI said its production facility in Geleen, the Netherlands, will continue to use the Rotterdam terminal under a throughput agreement. This will allow the site to keep flexible access to ammonia supply.

The company said it is continuing to review strategic options for the Geleen facility and will provide updates in due course.

This sale follows OCI’s earlier disposal of its global methanol business to Methanex.
