Vitol Bunkers has begun supplying HSFO in Pakistan, marking the first availability of the high-sulphur marine fuel in the country since 2020.
The move represents a significant step for Pakistan’s marine fuels market, with the supplier adding HSFO to its existing VLSFO and LSMGO offerings in the country.
Vitol Bunkers, the bunkering arm of Netherlands-based energy and commodities company Vitol, said the addition of HSFO strengthens the range of marine fuel options now available locally.
The launch comes after the company earlier introduced VLSFO and LSMGO supply in Pakistan, with HSFO now completing a full suite of conventional bunker grades for vessels calling at the country’s ports.
