Aegis Logistics has commissioned a new 36,000-metric-tonne ammonia storage terminal at Pipavav Port in Gujarat, India.
The specialised facility became operational on August 10 and will provide storage and terminalling services for ammonia, the company said in a stock exchange filing.
The terminal was developed by Aegis Logistics on behalf of its step-down subsidiary, Aegis Terminal (Pipavav) Limited (ATPL).
The company said the facility will subsequently be transferred to ATPL, with a separate disclosure to the stock exchanges to follow.
The commissioning gives Pipavav a dedicated ammonia storage facility with 36,000 MT of static capacity, adding to infrastructure for handling the gas at the port.
