Taiwanese container shipping company Yang Ming has launched a new LNG dual-fuel container ship.
The 15,500-TEU YM Weight can operate on LNG as well as conventional marine fuels.
Following delivery, the vessel will be deployed on services connecting Asia with the Mediterranean and North America, including Long Beach and Oakland.
Yang Ming has not disclosed the shipbuilder or other technical details of the vessel.
Earlier this month, the company ordered six LNG dual-fuel container ships from South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean.
