Oceania Bunkering Mozambique has started ship-to-ship (STS) bunkering at Beira Anchorage, expanding its marine fuel supply operations along Mozambique’s coast.

The company is using the Great Wall Energy 1, a 4,283-DWT bunker barge delivered in 2026 with capacity for about 2,500 mt of fuel.

The service initially offers low-sulphur marine gasoil (LSMGO), with VLSFO expected to be added as the operation develops.

Oceania Bunkering said the new service provides an additional fuel supply point for ships operating longer routes around the Cape of Good Hope and crossing the Mozambique Channel.

“Beira becomes one of them, with a reliable source of LSMGO for those crossing the Mozambique Channel,” the company said.

The operation is supported by state-owned Petromoc and CFM Logistics.

Oceania Bunkering also supplies VLSFO, MGO, HSFO and marine lubricants at Maputo, Beira, Nacala, Pemba and Quelimane.
