Klean Industries has partnered with KBR to expand the global rollout of its advanced tyre pyrolysis technology, TyreNova, which converts end-of-life tyres into low-carbon fuels and other valuable materials.
Under the new agreement, KBR will become Klean’s exclusive licensing partner, taking the lead on global sales, marketing, and project delivery. Klean will continue to focus on innovation and technical development.
The TyreNova process uses pyrolysis, a controlled heating method that breaks down old tyres in the absence of oxygen. This produces tyre-derived oil, recovered carbon black, and gas, all of which can be reused as fuel or raw materials in new industrial applications.
Klean said the partnership will help scale a proven circular solution that keeps millions of waste tyres out of landfills while reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
“This alliance is built on proven performance,” said Jesse Klinkhamer, CEO of Klean Industries. “With KBR’s global reach and engineering expertise, we’re now scaling that success worldwide.”
By turning tyre waste into renewable resources, the companies aim to support the circular economy and the transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy systems.
