The Ministry of Transport of Singapore and South Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries have signed an MoU to establish the Singapore-South Korea Green and Digital Shipping Corridor.

Under the deal, both authorities will work together to support the sector’s shift towards zero or near-zero greenhouse gas emission fuels.

This includes developing bunkering infrastructure, aligning technical standards, sharing expertise, conducting joint trials with industry and research partners, and offering joint training for maritime stakeholders.

The partnership also seeks to enhance digitalisation across ports and shipping operations to improve information exchange and boost efficiency.
