Toll Group has officially launched Singapore’s first decarbonisation hub dedicated to electric supply vessels, marking a new pilot phase in the electrification of maritime logistics.
The hub, located at Toll Offshore Petroleum Services’ (TOPS) facility, will operate as a 12-month proof of concept, integrating electric marine transport with smart warehousing and optimised cargo trucking into a digitally connected logistics chain.
The initiative brings together Toll’s port logistics infrastructure with electric vessel technology supplied by Yinson GreenTech, with the aim of generating real-world operational data to inform future commercial deployment and regulatory development.
According to Toll, the project supports Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 by testing how zero-emission harbour craft can be integrated into existing port logistics without disrupting efficiency or reliability.
The launch event was attended by customers and industry stakeholders, with support from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Toll said insights from the pilot will be shared with regulators and partners as part of efforts to scale sustainable maritime logistics solutions.
