Marine fuel supplier Chimbusco Pan Nation has begun supplying B100 marine biofuel in Hong Kong, marking a first for the port.
The development follows the upgrade of the company’s bunker tanker Guo Si to Type II certification, allowing it to deliver 100% biofuel.
Chimbusco Pan Nation said Guo Si is currently the only Type II certified bunker tanker operating in Hong Kong, making the firm the sole supplier in the region able to provide B100 using a fully compliant vessel.
“As the only supplier in the region currently equipped with a compliant Type II bunker tanker for B100, we are ready to help our partners move beyond traditional blends and navigate the next stage of their sustainability journey with confidence,” the company said.
