Bunker supplier Malik Energy has introduced a new co-processed DMA marine fuel at ports across Denmark, with product sourced from Swedish refiner Preem AB.
The company announced the launch via LinkedIn on Tuesday, highlighting that the renewable-content blend delivers up to an 80% cut in greenhouse gas emissions while offering 16% higher calorific value than FAME.
“This new product enables DMA consumers to seamlessly meet FuelEU Maritime requirements, achieving a minimum 80% reduction in emissions and supporting a lower-carbon future in the bunker industry,” Malik Energy said.
The firm added that its collaboration with Preem has made it possible to bring the product to market.
“We are happy that our partnership with Preem has made it possible for us to offer this new product, allowing our customers access to an even more tailor-made renewable content for FuelEU Maritime compliance.”
The product is ISO 8217:2017 standard
