Denmark-based Danelec, part of the GTT Group, has launched its next-generation voyage data recorder DM100 VDR G3, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in maritime data systems.

The new unit is built to handle rising data volumes from ship systems and meet tougher regulatory and operational demands.

The recorder features stronger internal architecture, bigger battery capacity, upgraded microphones and improved bridge control panels. It also supports high-bandwidth data capture from sources such as 4K radar and ECDIS overlays.

Connectivity has been a key focus, with the system offering cloud-ready access for remote diagnostics, performance testing and up to 30 days of stored data. Built-in self-tests and smarter diagnostics aim to reduce downtime and speed up maintenance.

Danelec says the system is suited to all vessel types, from cruise ships and offshore units to naval vessels, and is backed by a global service network, spares availability, a three-year warranty and lifecycle support through 2040.
