The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA), with support from BIMCO, has launched a new survey to gather industry views on bunker licensing and mass flow meters (MFMs) technology.
The questionnaire looks at how these measures are shaping transparency, fuel quality and regulatory consistency in the marine fuels market.
It follows a 2022 study that highlighted Singapore’s MFM programme as a benchmark for boosting confidence in bunkering operations.
IBIA said it is urging stakeholders to share their views to help drive a more efficient and reliable global bunker supply chain.
