Inchcape Shipping Services has expanded its Indonesia footprint with the opening of two new offices, strengthening its presence in key bulk and tanker port clusters.

The new offices are located in the port areas of Merak in western Java and Dumai in Sumatra, giving the company a direct presence in two high-activity industrial hubs handling around 150 port calls each annually.

Both locations support significant energy, industrial and plantation-related shipping activity.

The Merak office covers the ports of Cigading, Ciwandan and Anyer, an established industrial cluster handling liquid and dry bulk cargoes such as chemicals, iron ore, limestone, refined petroleum products, ethylene and bulk wheat.

The Dumai office covers the ports of Lubuk Gaung and Pelintung along the Malacca Strait, which mainly handle crude palm oil, palm oil products, fuel oil, petroleum products and chemicals.

Both offices will provide full port agency services, customs clearance, P&I support, crew logistics, husbandry services, bunkering and fuel operations, and protective agency services.

The company said the expansion improves operational control, responsiveness and compliance while enhancing support for shipowners and charterers operating across Indonesia.
