Media reports indicate that Molgas Energy will withdraw from operating Gibraltar’s LNG terminal, with px (Gibraltar) Ltd—part of the UK-based px Group—set to assume responsibility later this year.
Molgas, formerly known as GASNOR, has managed the facility since its commissioning in 2019.
The company’s parent, ME Group, is reportedly exiting operations and maintenance services as part of a revised business strategy.
Gibraltar is a major bunkering hub in the Mediterranean region.
