Global marine fuels supplier Monjasa has been appointed an official NATO fuel provider, following a successful tender submission to the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) last year.
The contract, awarded to Monjasa A/S, covers fuel deliveries across five Areas of Operations (AOOs) and is already in effect.
It forms part of a wider framework ensuring NATO forces have reliable access to marine fuels across designated regions. The agreement runs for an initial one-year term, with an option to extend for a further two years.
“Meeting the right quality standards is a prerequisite for winning specialised international tenders. This new contract award comes on the back of years of investments in our logistics and in establishing a modus that supports extended documentation requirements and overall transparency,” said Ulrik Østergaard, General Manager Northwest Europe. “Our aim is to deliver consistent high service levels and maritime operations matching the demand from our global partners.”
Under the contract, Monjasa will act both as a reseller and direct supplier through its own fleet of tankers and barges.
The company operates 16 international offices and a fleet of 35 vessels, supplying marine fuels at 784 ports worldwide in 2024.
