Craig Jasienski has announced he will step down as CEO of Greece-based vehicle carrier operator Neptune Lines after nearly five years in the role.

In a LinkedIn post on Tuesday, Jasienski said the decision followed discussions with Neptune Lines President Melina Travlos and described the move as the “right opportunity for a leadership transition”.

“This wasn’t an easy decision, but it is the right one,” Jasienski wrote.

He said one of the most important responsibilities of leadership is recognising the right moment for change and acting on it.

Jasienski also praised the company’s workforce and the Travlos family, saying he was proud of Neptune’s achievements during his tenure and confident in the company’s future direction.

“None of that would have happened without an exceptional team,” he said.

He added that he plans to take time to reflect before deciding on his next role, while remaining available to support Neptune during the transition period.
