Norwegian Car Carriers has ordered another LNG dual-fuel pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) from Raffles Yantai Shipyard, reinforcing its commitment to LNG propulsion.
The newly contracted vessel will have a capacity of about 7,000 car equivalent units (CEU) and will be capable of operating on LNG as well as conventional marine fuels.
The order adds to three LNG dual-fuel PCTCs already under construction at the same yard. Norwegian Car Carriers took delivery of the first ship in the series, NOCC Pacific, in November.
