Peninsula and the University of Gibraltar have deepened their partnership with the launch of the Peninsula Maritime Simulation Suite, a state-of-the-art training facility designed to advance maritime education and professional development.

The initiative follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier this year between the two organisations and represents a significant investment by Peninsula in the future of maritime training in Gibraltar.

The new simulation suite will deliver mandatory UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) training, helping cadets progress toward their Certificate of Competence as Officers of the Watch.

It also supports the University’s ambition to build a world-class Maritime Simulation Centre and expand its BSc (Hons) Maritime Science and Cadetship programme.

John A. Bassadone, Founder and CEO of Peninsula, commented: “We are proud to support the development of Gibraltar’s maritime future. This investment not only ensures our own seafarers receive world-class training locally, but also reinforces Gibraltar’s position as a centre of maritime excellence underpinned by state-of-the-art training facilities.”.
