Power2X has acquired HyCC, a Netherlands-based developer of large-scale green hydrogen projects, to expand its clean fuels and feedstocks portfolio in North-West Europe.
The deal adds HyCC’s hydrogen and clean molecule projects in Amsterdam, Delfzijl and Rotterdam to Power2X’s pipeline, creating greater scale and efficiencies as projects shift from early development to execution.
Power2X said the acquisition enhances its position in industrial decarbonisation, particularly in the Netherlands and Germany, and strengthens its capital base and delivery capabilities.
“ With the acquisition of HyCC we are adding valuable, and strategic projects in key industrial hubs to our portfolio,” said Occo Roelofsen, Founder and CEO of Power2X.
HyCC Managing Director Marcel Galjee said the partnership marks the next phase for its water electrolysis-based hydrogen projects.
Power2X develops clean hydrogen, renewable methanol and sustainable aviation fuel projects, including its flagship EFR development in Rotterdam.
