Sulnox, a UK-listed greentech firm focused on fuel-efficiency additives, has signed a distribution agreement with Motor Plus Panama, part of the IHS Holding Group, to expand its presence in the Panama Canal region.

Under the deal, Motor Plus will stock Sulnox products at the Port of Colón, enabling local delivery and bunkering support for vessels transiting or operating around the canal. Motor Plus will handle logistics and inventory, allowing Sulnox to target maritime, industrial and transport customers across Central America and the Caribbean.

Motor Plus is part of the Panama-based IHS Group, an industrial and energy conglomerate active in fuel distribution, bunkering, storage, lubricants and logistics. Its network includes marine fuel supplier Interoceanic Supply Services/Triton Energy of Panama and storage operator Telfer Tanks, which runs a 1.2m bbl terminal at the Atlantic entrance to the canal.

Sulnox said the agreement provides access to one of the world’s most active shipping corridors. The Panama Canal recorded 13,404 vessel transits in fiscal 2025, including more than 3,300 Neopanamax ships.

Ben Richardson, CEO of Sulnox, said the partnership marks “a major milestone” in the company’s international expansion, while Motor Plus Managing Director Rodrigo Hernandez Calvo said the technology could help clients cut fuel consumption and emissions.
