Dutch emission-reduction specialist Value Maritime has signed a commercial representation agreement with Union Tech, naming the company as its technical consultant and agent for its full range of products and services in South Korea.
Union Tech will act as the link between Value Maritime, domestic shipyards, and shipowners, offering solutions including the firm’s Filtree system – a combined SOx scrubber and onboard carbon capture system (OCCS) – along with components, engineering, and related services.
“With increasing pressure from IMO GHG reduction strategies and the introduction of carbon pricing mechanisms worldwide, South Korean shipowners and builders are accelerating the adoption of eco-friendly solutions,” Value Maritime said.
Frédéric Le Moullec, Commercial Manager at Value Maritime, described Union Tech as “playing a critical role not only in direct sales to shipowners, but more importantly, in navigating complex shipyard collaboration processes.”
Union Tech Managing Director Chaesung Lim added that the firm would “ensure a seamless process with precision and expertise” from contract to delivery.
