Vertom Group and Ership Group have joined forces to create Vership Tanker Chartering, a new joint tanker brokerage venture.
The Vership brand will be introduced officially later, but the collaboration is already operational, giving clients access to the combined expertise and market reach of both firms while retaining their existing contacts.
Positioned as a boutique brokerage network, Vership will operate through small, specialist teams focused on personal service, flexibility and close client relationships.
The partnership blends Vertom’s global coverage across deep-sea and short-sea markets, including the ARA-Rhine inland sector, with Ership’s strengths in short-sea chemicals and biofuels trades on the Continent-Mediterranean route, alongside its experience in larger CPP and DPP shipments.
“This is not about becoming ‘just another big player,’” said Robert Heemskerk of Vertom. Ricardo Hernandez of Ership added: “We offer broader coverage and deeper market insight, while keeping the flexibility that defines us.”
