A signing ceremony in Wuhu has marked the launch of Huaxing Shipping Co., Ltd, a new joint venture between Yingxing Financial Leasing (Anhui) Co., Ltd, Wah Kwong Maritime Transport, and Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd.
The company has placed orders for twelve 64,500 DWT Ultramax bulk carriers, to be built at Wuhu Shipyard in three batches of four vessels each.
According to the partners, Huaxing Shipping will integrate shipping operations, shipbuilding, and financial leasing to develop a modern, low-energy fleet.
The collaboration aims to accelerate the green transformation of the shipping industry and enhance its resilience through closer coordination between finance and operations.
