Marine fuels firm Bunker Holding plans to fully absorb the Baseblue brand into its existing group companies — mainly KPI OceanConnect — by the end of its financial year on 30 April 2026.

The decision follows earlier steps in Hong Kong, where Baseblue and KPI OceanConnect were merged under one brand to build a stronger market position and wider supply network.

Work has already started in the Eastern Mediterranean, with Baseblue assets and staff being transferred to KPI OceanConnect. The integration is expected to help both teams work more closely and offer a stronger service to customers and suppliers.

“Streamlining our structure enables our teams to work as one and focus resources where they have the most impact,” said Anders Grønborg, Chief Commercial Officer of Bunker Holding.

KPI OceanConnect CEO Dorthe Bendtsen will continue to lead the company, supported by local managers from both organisations. Existing Baseblue customer and supplier agreements will move to KPI OceanConnect without changes.

“I really look forward to bringing the teams together and exploring the many synergies,” Bendtsen said. “Our combined team will give partners access to a broader platform of services and expertise, especially as we expand in the East Med region.”

Bunker Holding operates in 32 countries and more than 1,600 ports worldwide. The group employs over 1,300 people and is increasing its focus on supporting shipping’s decarbonisation.
