Minerva Bunkering has signed a new marine fuels agreement with the Port of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.
The agreement includes a 15-year extension of Minerva’s terminal concession at Las Palmas Port, giving the company continued access to critical infrastructure for marine fuel supply, as per Minerva’s LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
As part of the deal, Minerva also signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Port Authority to explore the development of a new terminal aligned with the energy transition, which could support future low-carbon and alternative marine fuels.
To support growing demand in the region, the company has added the bunker barge MT Mars to its Las Palmas operations, increasing delivery capacity and operational flexibility.
The move underlines Minerva’s strategy to expand its physical supply network and reinforce its presence in strategically important bunkering locations.
