The Port of Prince Rupert in British Columbia, Canada, has marked a new step in its marine services expansion after Wolverine Terminals completed its first at-berth bunkering operation at the DP World Fairview container terminal earlier this month.

The port authority said the fuelling took place during a recent vessel call, supported by Maersk Energy Markets.

In a LinkedIn post, it said: “Wolverine Terminals carried out its first bunkering at berth at DP World Fairview Container Terminal earlier this month. The fueling service was provided during a recent call on the Port of Prince Rupert and supported by Maersk Energy Markets.”

It added: “Thanks to the Gateway partners who helped facilitate this milestone and advance the services and bunkering options available to their customers on BC’s North Coast.”

The development strengthens Prince Rupert’s position as a growing Pacific gateway, improving service offerings for container lines and other vessel operators calling at the Canadian port.
