Seaside LNG, a Houston-based integrated LNG bunkering company, has announced a new C-suite leadership team as it looks to scale operations in line with growing demand for LNG as a marine fuel.

The company said the appointments bring together more than a century of combined experience across LNG infrastructure, shipping, and energy finance, positioning the firm to expand its footprint in North America’s developing LNG bunkering market.

Chief Executive Officer Douglas Shanda said the leadership build-out comes at a critical stage for the business.

“This is a defining moment for Seaside LNG and for North American maritime energy. We have built the infrastructure, assembled the fleet, and now we have the leadership team to match our ambition to grow our established platform. As LNG demand across the shipping industry reaches historic levels, Seaside is the only fully integrated platform on the continent capable of delivering LNG from liquefaction to vessel — safely, reliably, at scale and on schedule.”

The leadership team includes Shanda as CEO, alongside Jason Owens as Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Bonnarens as Chief Financial Officer, and Bryan Frey as Chief Commercial Officer.

Seaside LNG operates what it describes as North America’s only fully integrated LNG bunkering platform, combining liquefaction, storage, and Jones Act-compliant marine fuel delivery. Its operations are anchored at JAX LNG in Jacksonville, Florida, where it holds a 50% stake.

The company also owns a fleet of LNG bunker barges supporting supply across key US ports, as it seeks to capitalise on increasing uptake of LNG as a lower-emissions alternative to conventional marine fuels.
