Marine fuel supplier Chimbusco Pan Nation (CPN) has completed a 2,500 mt B100 marine biodiesel delivery in Hong Kong, setting what it says is a national record for a single stem.
The operation took place on 2 May and was carried out using the bunker tanker Guo Si, the company said.
According to CPN, the delivery also represents an estimated 89% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared with conventional marine fuel, reflecting growing demand for lower-carbon fuel options in the region.
Dedicated B100 Capability
CPN said the Guo Si has been upgraded in line with the International Maritime Organization’s IBC Code as well as Hong Kong regulatory requirements, and is the only bunker tanker in the port holding Type II certification for B100 operations.
The firm launched its B100 marine biodiesel supply service in Hong Kong in January 2026, and said the latest delivery marks its largest operation since the service began.
Market Signals Strengthen
The company added that the milestone reflects increasing market uptake of pure biodiesel as shipowners look to cut emissions while remaining within existing engine and infrastructure constraints.
CPN said it continues to position itself as a compliant supplier of alternative marine fuels, as regulatory and commercial pressures drive wider adoption across the shipping sector.
