Bunker sales in Singapore climbed in August, with volumes rising to their highest level since March.
The world’s largest bunkering hub sold a total of 4.96 million mt of marine fuels last month, up by 8.9% from August 2024, according to the latest data from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
Conventional fuel oil and distillate bunker sales accounted for 4.76 million mt of the total. Biofuel blends contributed 135,000 mt, while LNG bunker sales reached 67,000 mt.
The August total was also higher than July’s level, extending a two-month recovery in demand at the port.
