Verde Marine Energy (VME), a marine fuel supplier and part of the Vertom Group, has appointed Steve Taylor as Director for the UK as the company looks to expand its bunkering business in the country.
Taylor will be based at the Pristine ABP Port Office on the River Humber, which the firm describes as a strategic hub to support its growing bunkering and marine energy activities across the UK. From there, he will work with VertomCory teams across the UK as well as Mariflex and other Vertom Group businesses to strengthen operational alignment and group-wide synergies.
VME said Taylor joins at a key stage in its development and will focus on expanding the company’s UK bunkering business, drawing on his experience in the local market and industry relationships. The company added that its existing international trading network and physical supply operations will support the UK expansion and help accelerate growth in the region.
Joe Tierney, Director of Verde Marine Energy B.V., Rotterdam, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Steve on board as Director of our UK bunker business. He is joining us at an excellent moment for the company, and I am very much looking forward to working alongside him, sharing knowledge, and using the synergies across our businesses to further strengthen Verde Marine Energy’s presence in the UK.”
The appointment underscores VME’s strategy to grow its physical bunkering capabilities and develop a broader marine energy platform across the UK.
