CMA CGM has added another large methanol dual-fuel containership to its growing fleet of alternative-fuel vessels.

The newly delivered CMA CGM Roi Arthur has capacity for 15,000 TEU and can operate on either methanol or conventional bunker fuels.

The vessel is set to be deployed between Qingdao and the Red Sea, putting another methanol-capable ship into CMA CGM’s long-haul network.

The delivery further expands the French carrier’s ability to use methanol as a marine fuel as it brings more dual-fuel tonnage into its fleet.
