Bunkering firm Dan-Bunkering has strengthened its European presence by integrating Baseblue’s Netherlands office into its operations from 1 December, as parent firm Bunker Holding advances its plan to fully retire the Baseblue brand.
The Groningen team will now operate under the Dan-Bunkering Europe umbrella, with the company emphasising a seamless transition for customers and suppliers.
The move aligns with Bunker Holding’s Fit for Future strategy and is intended to enhance Dan-Bunkering’s reach and service offering across the region. By consolidating teams, the Group aims to simplify structures while increasing collaboration between its European units.
“Bringing the two teams together is consistent with our strategy and Bunker Holding’s ambition to streamline operations and strengthen alignment across our teams. We are very confident that the vast experience and local know-how, that the team in the Netherlands will bring into Dan-Bunkering, will enhance team collaboration in Europe and eventually create an even stronger platform for Dan-Bunkering to serve its customers,” said Anders Grønborg, CCO of Bunker Holding.
Existing business handled from the Netherlands will continue as before, now supported by Dan-Bunkering’s broader organisation and capabilities.
Claus Bulch Klausen, CEO of Dan-Bunkering, said: “The integration of the Groningen office marks an important step in our journey towards moving closer together within the Bunker Holding Group. At Dan-Bunkering, we really look forward to welcoming our new Dutch colleagues and harvest the synergies from joining forces.”
The combined operation will be led by Hans Lind Dollerup, Managing Director of Dan-Bunkering Europe.
The move follows a similar integration in November, when Baseblue’s Eastern Mediterranean offices merged into KPI OceanConnect.
