Tug Network Team (TNT), an alliance of independent towage operators operating across the Americas and Europe, has appointed Felipe Gouvêa as Executive Director as the group looks to strengthen its international coordination and commercial platform.
The alliance said Gouvêa brings extensive maritime industry experience, having previously served as CEO of Brazilian towage company Sulnorte and held senior roles spanning shipping, chartering, port operations and maritime strategy.
Launched in the Americas in 2024 and later expanded into Europe, TNT currently covers 113 ports in 13 countries through a combined fleet of more than 200 tugs. The group said the appointment marks a new phase focused on governance, service standards and commercial coordination as consolidation continues in the towage sector.
Jean-Philippe Brunet, chairman of Tug Network Team and executive vice president of corporate affairs and partnerships at Canada-based towage firm Group Ocean, said Gouvêa’s experience would help strengthen the alliance’s international platform.
In his new role, Gouvêa will oversee commercial development, service standards and future expansion while helping assess new members joining the alliance.
