Bunker firm Golden Island has carried out a pair of B100 biofuel deliveries to Maersk container ships in Singapore, supplying a combined 3,800 mt of UCOME-based biofuel.

The tanker Golden Sirius, one of the firm’s IMO Type II chemical bunker tankers, handled both operations. The ship delivered 900 mt of B100 to the Estelle Maersk in October before returning in November with a further 2,900 mt for the Maersk Amazon.

The company said the moves reflect growing cooperation with Maersk and form part of its effort to scale up low-carbon fuel options for international clients. Golden Island also framed the deliveries as supporting Singapore’s strategy to position itself as a multi-fuel bunkering hub

Golden Island was recently granted a methanol bunker license in Singapore.
