France’s shipping firm CMA CGM marked another step in its energy transition with the naming of the CMA CGM ANTIGONE, a new container ship equipped with dual-fuel methanol engines.
The ship is scheduled to operate on the CMA CGM‘s BEX2 service, linking Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean, a route CMA CGM views as central to supporting global trade flows.
The company described the vessel as a further milestone in its shift towards lower-carbon fuels and in strengthening connections across key maritime regions.
