Bunker fuels trading company Island Oil has appointed Wilson Nobre as business development manager for Brazil, marking the opening of its new trading desk in Rio de Janeiro.
The company said the move is part of its international expansion strategy and will strengthen its ability to support customers across Latin America.
Commenting on the development, Island Oil’s chief operating officer, Vangelis Marinakis, said, “It is with excitement that we welcome Wilson. Being present in Rio will allow us to better serve our customers in the region, with our usual customer-focus and integrity.”
Nobre said the launch of the Rio desk represented a key moment for the company.
