Peninsula has begun operating as a physical bunker supplier in Mauritania after receiving approval from the Mauritanian National Hydrocarbons Commission.
The company said it has approval to operate up to three bunker barges in the market and is currently using two barges to supply fuel oil and LSMGO meeting ISO 8217:2022 specifications.
Peninsula said the licence followed a recent tender process and makes it the first company to secure approval to operate physically in the Mauritanian bunker market.
The Gibraltar-based company supplies marine fuels and related services at ports worldwide.
