The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported that an unnamed vessel was boarded by “unauthorised personnel” around 38 nautical miles northeast of Fujairah and is now heading towards Iranian territorial waters.
According to the UKMTO, the vessel was seized while at anchor, with the incident initially reported by the ship’s company security officer (CSO).
The organisation did not identify the vessel or provide further operational details.
The UKMTO said it is continuing to investigate the incident.
