BP takes final option on Golden Energy Offshore PSV

Oaktree-backed Norwegian owner Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) has clinched a six-month extension for its large platform supply vessel (PSV) Energy Empress.

The seven-vessel strong Oslo-listed outfit said the 2019-built unit has now been fixed until October 24 this year.

The ship has been on charter with BP since October 2022, with most recent extension dating back to August 2023 at $18,500 per day according to the reports published in splash247.com .

Financial terms for the second and final extension option under which the vessel will be on a supply run for the jackup rig Joe Douglas offshore Trinidad and Tobago, were not disclosed.
