Damen Shipyards Group has delivered the first of two hybrid diesel-electric and methanol-ready Commissioning Service Operations Vessels (CSOVs) 9020 to Ta San Shang Marine Co., Ltd. in Ha Long, Vietnam.
The vessel, named TSS Cruiser, will support offshore wind farm construction and operations in Taiwan.
TSSM is a joint venture between Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Ta Tong Marine Co..
The 90-metre Damen CSOV 9020 can accommodate up to 120 offshore personnel and was built at one of Damen’s partner yards in Ha Long.
Following successful sea trials in Ha Long Bay, the vessel departed Vietnam on 6 May for Taiwan, where it will begin work at the Hai Long Offshore Wind Farm.
The offshore wind project will use turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa.
Damen said the second vessel in the series is scheduled for delivery in early 2027.
