Italy-based bunker supplier and shipping company Fratelli Cosulich has taken delivery of Anna Cosulich, a methanol-ready IMO II bunker tanker built as part of the group’s fleet expansion programme.
The vessel was delivered by China’s Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard, the company said this week.
Fratelli Cosulich said the tanker represents a new generation of bunker vessels designed to support the marine sector’s transition towards lower-carbon fuels.
Following delivery, Anna Cosulich will prepare for its maiden voyage to Singapore, where the vessel is expected to join the company’s bunkering operations.
The company said the addition of the tanker will strengthen its presence in Singapore, the world’s largest bunkering hub.
Fratelli Cosulich did not disclose further technical details about the vessel.
