Marine energy company Global Fuel Supply has changed its name to Blue Energy Partners as it expands beyond bunker trading into biofuels, emissions compliance and broader energy services.
Global Fuel Supply has rebranded as Blue Energy Partners as the company looks to reflect its broader activities across marine fuels, alternative energy and environmental services.
The Copenhagen-based company, founded in 2022 by Bijan Shahbaz and Lamin Bara, said the new identity reflects its growth from a fuel trading business into a wider marine energy company operating across seven offices on four continents.
The company said its operations now include physical bunker supply, marine energy trading, ISCC-certified biofuels, environmental services and trading in EU, UK and Swiss ETS carbon credits. It also operates bunker barges in West Africa.
“Today marks an exciting evolution of our company and identity. In many ways, it feels like we’ve arrived at our destination, the energy market of tomorrow,” co-founder and COO Bijan Shahbaz said.
The company said the rebranding also signals a stronger focus on long-term partnerships with customers, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
“With this new chapter, our ambition is clear: to place even greater focus on partnerships – both internally within our organization and externally with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders across the industry,” co-founder and CCO Lamin Bara said.
Blue Energy Partners describes itself as a global marine energy company providing fuel supply, marine energy trading, certified biofuels and ETS compliance services.
