StormGeo and OceanScore have signed a collaboration agreement at Posidonia 2026 aimed at helping shipping companies manage growing emissions compliance requirements.

The partnership combines StormGeo’s operational vessel and emissions data with OceanScore’s compliance management solutions, covering regulations such as EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime and the forthcoming UK ETS.

The companies said the cooperation will support shipowners across a range of compliance activities, including emissions reporting, data validation, compliance exposure management, pooling arrangements and financial settlement processes.

As emissions regulations become a larger part of commercial shipping operations, the two firms said closer integration between operational data and compliance management can improve transparency and coordination between operational and commercial teams.

“From the outside, companies like StormGeo and OceanScore may sometimes be perceived as competitors because both operate around emissions and compliance workflows,” said Albrecht Grell, Managing Director at OceanScore.

“But in reality, the industry increasingly needs both perspectives working together: trusted operational emissions data on one side and commercial compliance execution on the other.”

The agreement was signed at the StormGeo booth during Posidonia 2026 in Athens, with both companies expecting the partnership to evolve alongside future emissions regulations affecting the shipping sector.
